Job Responsibilities:
Management of moderately sized projects or processes
Act as subject matter expert and/or technical leader in the FPGA area
Project execution according to the engineering V-model, i.e.
Requirements capturing
Design definition & implementation
Trouble shooting & problem solving
Verification
Requirements based Digital Hardware Design & Verification (FPGA)
Formal Requirements Capture
Conceptual Design/Hierarchical Decomposition
Detailed Design (VHDL)
Module Level Verification
Implementation
HW Integration
Formal Design Documentation
Design Verification via HDL simulation/code assertions/HW verification on-target
Development of Verification Cases, of Test Environment & of Verification Procedures
Performing Verification
Formal Documentation of Results
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical -, Communications - , Aerospace - and Astronautics Engineering or comparable studies
Advanced to expert knowledge in the FPGA area
Minimum 4 year of project experience in complex digital HW design (industry or academic)
Hardware Description Language: VHDL, Verilog
Scripting Language (e.g. TCL)
Windows/Linux (user, scripting)
Mentor ModelSim/QuestaSim
Xilinx ISE/Vivado and / or MicroSemi Libero
DOORS and / or JAMA
SVN/Clearcase
Avionics HW Development Standards (DO-254), alternatively automotive, space or medical
Experience in one of the following domains:
Digital Video/Image Processing and Video Standards (e.g. NTSC/PAL component video, VGA, SMPTE SDI, Display Port, ARINC 818)
Legacy I/O standards (e.g. Serial, SPI/I2C, ARINC 429, MilBus)
Modern interconnects (PCI-Express, Ethernet)
Memory Interface Standards (DDR3/4)
Peripheral Interconnects
Basic project management skills (Cost Account Management)
Ownership and accountability
Good communication and teamwork skills
Fluent English skills
