OnsiteThe Mod Center IPT is responsible in prototyping and developing product, processes, and work instructions across multiple business units. Industrial Engineers in the Mod Center get to be on the cutting edge of circuit card and electronics assembly technology - they work cross functionally with the New Product Introduction team, Design, and Value Stream Leaders in their day-to-day to ensure long term performance goals can be met after transition to full rate production.
This role will be performed onsite at our Collins location in Cedar Rapids, IA.

What You Will Do:
The primary responsibility for this position is to apply engineering concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing and service operations. This position will also have responsibilities in the following areas:
Complex technical problem definition and solution in a manufacturing environment.Act as liaison with design engineering on incorporating changes to the designs which improve manufacturability.Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control through the application of Lean principles.Determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects and provide cost benefit analysis by evaluating cost factors and schedules. Plan, execute, and document engineering economic challenges.Perform assignments requiring use and application of standard engineering economics and product development principles and techniques.Improve facilities layout for manufacturing processes and equipment, taking into account economic factors, process flow, and operator efficiency and comfort.Maintain awareness of start-of-the-art technology and the applicability of how it can be leveraged to improve the Company's competitive position in the assigned area.Develop solutions to a variety of Industrial Engineering problems of an entry level of complexity.Provide engineering economics analysis support on stand-alone product improvement efforts.Develop tools that enable manufacturing, aid process improvement or address safety concerns with the assistance of a more experienced engineer.Basic understanding and application of Industrial Engineer principles, concepts, practices and standards.Research new processes, methods, and equipment and make recommendations to achieve continuous improvement in assigned areas of the factory.Design, develop, and improve station loading/line balancing.Create and maintain a factory staffing plan based on sales demand.Be the primary focal point for BGA repair and gauge room processes.Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experienceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractWhat We Offer:

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
