For BHP Chile, we are looking for our new Principal Innovation Leaching, to join our Leaching Innovation Team. The main responsibility of the role is to give technical support and quality control for all internal projects and external relations.
Core Accountabilities:
To ensure full achievement of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Incorporate a continuous process improvements culture based on the BOS principles. Should be able to advise and make recommendations regarding the success of the new technology development program. Design the process flowsheet, define technical controls for the success of the programs through analysis and test optimisation of the technology critical drivers. Provide Technical Support and advice on QA&QC to all pilot plant activities ensuring replication. Should be able to critically review, manage and interpret all metallurgical data generated from test work. Internal stakeholder management in order to align the different responsibilities an accountability during the metallurgical test work. External stakeholder management (consultants and universities) in order to ensure the data integrity during technology evaluation. Management of patents and Intellectual Property related issues.
About You
Metallurgical or Chemical Engineer, Master or Doctorate in Science (Leaching, Innovation, Maning Industry) will be highly desirable. At least 10 years' experience in process industry. Advanced knowledge and experience in leaching process and engineering. Advanced English language skills. Metallurgical data management and interpretation. Experimental and systematically thinker. Innovation development experience. Knowledge of quality management systems. Knowledge of Minitab.
