Principal IT Asset Manager

Responsible for managing the procurement, maintenance, and lifecycle optimization of hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals by leveraging technical, financial, and business knowledge.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Asset Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to retirement, ensuring optimal use and timely upgrades.Strategic Recommendations and Financial Management: Provide strategic recommendations by evaluating hardware and software options, manage a multimillion-dollar budget, and ensure financial tracking and analysis.Vendor and Lease Management: Oversee vendor relationships, track deliverables, and manage lease processes from inception to final reconciliationCompliance and Governance: Ensure all processes meet audit requirements and compliance standards (including SOX, AT&T Technology and Software policy, Corporate ServiceNow and TSSNow Software policy) and maintain asset data integrity.Collaboration and Reporting: Work with various management levels to meet project requirements, provide detailed reports and recommendations to senior leadership, and ensure license compliance.


Job Contribution:

An expert in their field, applying broad business knowledge and strategic insight surrounding emerging trends and technologies to solve complex problems and drive organizational results. Leads critical, high-impact projects and designs/implements innovative business strategies. Works with minimal oversight, frequently consulting senior leadership and influencing executive decisions. Serves as a mentor and assists others with challenging issues.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science. 7+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.Knowledgeable in software license deployment and entitlement best practices, processes and procedures. Experience in managing a multimillion-dollar budget including the developing, forecasting, tracking and analysis of budget (i.e., variance of budget vs. actuals).

Our Principal IT Asset Manager, earns between $116,700.00 - $196,100.00, USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
