Role description:

Our Landscape. Masterplanning. Urbanism. (LMU) team are looking for a Landscape Architect to come join our growing team, which consists of 90+ people offering the full spectrum of Landscape Architecture, Masterplanning and Urban Design services. The services range from Masterplanning, urban regeneration, strategic planning, design concept, through to detail and implementation as well as Environmental Assessment and LVIA/TVIA. 

As part of our Environmental team, you’ll help improve quality of life. With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise. And in some of the world’s busiest and most beautiful locations.

Around the world, we’re feeling the effects climate change, rapid urbanization, loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.

Role accountabilities:

As part of our team you will have a strong focus on LVIA/TVIA projects.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including our in-house disciplines and high-profile designers as well as our sector leading external partners.  You’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s largest, most complex and technically demanding projects.  These currently include major large-scale Masterplans, City Centre public realm Regeneration projects, Green Infrastructure strategies and Landscape Masterplanning for some of the UK’s largest residential and mixed-use developments as well as significant infrastructure projects.

However, not all of our projects are large scale.  We have equally exciting smaller projects and, together, present a rich and varied portfolio of projects and clients including at national and local levels, and in both the private and public sector.

Qualifications & Experience:

Technical support of projects with a strong focus on LVIA/TVIA projects, shaping and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.  Experienced Landscape Architect with relevant LVIA/TVIA experience including residential development, transport and energy infrastructure projects Experience in delivering major infrastructure projects Ability to lead by example working on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, ideally within a consultancy environment Preferrable, experience with DCO applications including the examination process.  Expert witness experience would be advantageous. Proficient AutoCAD and experienced Adobe Suite user,  Preferrable BIM, Project Wise capability Degree/Diploma in Landscape Architecture or closely related subject.  Chartered membership with Landscape Institute or equivalent (or in progress)
