This Senior Manufacturing Engineer will support the Electro-Optical Sensors and Precision Assembly through direct support of the Stinger Product and it's assemblies within the factory. The Engineer shall serve as a technical and process subject matter expert with accountability to resolve, maintain, and improve intricate assemblies. The Engineer shall work with a team to resolve schedule, logistical, and quality activities.
What You Will Do
Apply manufacturing engineering skillsets across the extended value stream and Seeker system to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs
Leverage knowledge and technical skills to influence business decisions and results from new designs to recurring production
Design, control, and improve the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
Lead and coordinate technical efforts across the extended value streams, including design of experiments (DOEs) and
Act as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the Stinger program
Identify and resolve process inconsistencies, manufacturing risks, and throughput constraints across the program
Participate on Failure Investigation Teams (FITs) as the manufacturing expert in support of root cause and corrective action investigations, including supplier and cross-factory engagements
Provide technical input and peer review to engineering design changes
Provide technical and problem-solving guidance to factory engineers
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints through technical engagements
Understand and utilize factory and program performance data
Ability to work or lead in groups and cross functional teams
Experience interpreting and improving technical drawings
Experience with technical writing
Experience with MRP systems, including SAP
Experience with DOD financial reporting systems including EAC and EVMS processes
Experience teaching, training and/or mentoring manufacturing systems to junior engineers
Experience communicating technical information to different audiences
Current DOD Security Clearance
