Job Description:
The Principal Member of Technical Staff will work within the RAN Architecture organization as a member of the Technology Realization team and have the responsibility for RAN Security.
Candidate needs to apply advanced engineering and scientific knowledge to architecture, design and development work in a Research and Development environment for high-value technology and solutions tied to the strategic direction of the company. Specifically, the candidate will focus on Cloud RAN security and serve as a lead for the Network CTO Organization.
Role Overview:
Conducts design and development work focused on security for new and existing products/technologies, systems/platform architecture, hardware/software development engineering, and QA Design/Certification.Work must primarily involve new and emerging technologies and technical architectures on projects with a status between inception and implementation/software maturity.May serve as subject matter expert during the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development.Specific responsibilities may include developing requirements, leading development, and validation of technical design options against the security need, driving architecture design, managing roadmaps, and identifying and mitigating risks across all security aspects of Cloud RAN.Key Responsibiites:
Manage and lead multiple Cloud Ran security requirements and roadmaps that aligned with RAN and security. Develop product requirements and assist with end to end security architecture.Work closely with security teams, operations and platform owners in conjunction with a large complex cross functional support teams to ensure security requirements are delivered on time and successfully meet objectives.Anticipate problems, complications, roadblocks, or issues that may impact the successful execution of the security plan; and identify and implement solutions to resolve.Influence organization goals/objectives. Applies discretion to develop innovative solutions to problems without precedent.Provides technical security expertise to peers across the company.Lead contributor on critical security initiatives and provide regular communication on project status to cross functional groups and management and Senior Leadership teams.Education and Qualification Requirement:
PhD in an approved field or Masters in an approved field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.Proven large scale cross functional development and architecture experience. Including understanding of technical architectures, long term tactical roadmap and release management and planning.Direct experience and knowledge of RAN Architecture for Cloud RANKnowledge of End to End network ArchitectureTrack record of continual delivery of product releases.Experience with RAN Security. Must possess a high degree of influence and ability to impact team performance of cross functional groups, subordinates, peers, and senior management; including the ability to gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations.Previous experience in RAN and mobility networks, managing vendors.Strong technical project management and organizational skillsOur Principal Member of Technical Staff, earn between $160,900.00 - $270,400.00, annually. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
