Position:Principal Network Engineer

Position Summary:As a Principal Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure both on-premise and in the cloud. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge in on-premise and cloud networking practices, specifically with expertise in Palo
Alto firewalls, F5 load balancing, business to business VPN connections, F5 client VPN, AWS Transit Gateway, AWS VPC endpoint configuration, Azure networking services, and general enterprise networking infrastructure components.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee the design and implementation of network architecture for corporate offices, on-premise datacenters and cloud platforms (both AWS and Azure).Ensure network infrastructure is secure, scalable, and highly available.Implement and manage Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancing, business to business VPN connections, and F5 client VPN.Configure and maintain AWS Transit Gateway, AWS VPC endpoint configuration, Azure Virtual Gateway, cloud-based load balancers and all related services.Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams to identify and meet business needs.Troubleshoot network issues as needed and provide timely resolutions and conduct RCA processes and remediations.Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring strategy and conduct regular network performance monitoring and capacity planning and reporting.Develop and document network design, standards, policies, and procedures, including operational runbooks and team training documentation.Evaluate and select Lan/Wan/Cloud network technologies, products, and services that meet the organization's needs and align with industry standards.Ensure network availability, reliability, and scalability by implementing appropriate redundancy and fault tolerance measures.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and evaluate their potential impact on the network infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldMinimum of 8 years' experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on enterprise networkingAdvanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancing, business to business VPN connections, F5 client VPN, AWS Transit Gateway, AWS VPC endpoint configuration, Azure networking services and general enterprise networking infrastructure componentsExpert knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, VLANs, VPN, DNS, DHCP, QOS and subnettingDemonstrated knowledge architecting, designing and implementing complex network solutionsDemonstrated knowledge of network security best practices and industry standardsExceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsComprehensive understanding of cloud networking concepts and architectures, specifically in AWS and AzureStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively in cross functional teamsRelevant certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, or equivalent is highly desirable

The hiring range for this position is:

$113,800.00-$154,525.00
