Principal O2C & Finance Architect

Job Purpose:

Our ERP Architect Director will interpret and contextualize the business strategy and design and build end-to-end solutions across the Veritiv enterprise. This role will manage a team along with leading the product design, strategy and delivery in the Technology Solutions team.

Job Responsibilities:

● Ensure alignment of IT and business strategy across Veritiv and in every IT decision, action, and roadmap. 
● Lead and deliver strategy to position Veritiv as a digital business and to redefine customer experience.
● Leverage new technologies to drive innovation. 
● Assume ownership of the Veritiv Architecture Methods, Work Packages and Project Assessment and Delivery Process.
● Challenge and redirect architectural decisions that do not support Veritiv's desired architectures or are not aligned with general and domain architecture principles.
● Collaborate with stakeholders to develop the case for strategic investments necessary to support architectural decisions.
● Ensure that solutions are aligned with an architected, planned environment in order to: reduce complexities, promote controls and standards, and enforce common methods.
● Shape business group thinking regarding architecture possibilities.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

● Create, review, and deliver strategy to drive technology innovation across the Veritiv.
● Collaborate with other leads to integrate innovative technologies and processes across the enterprise.
● Provide thought leadership into the evolution of the architecture function and innovation, working collaboratively with managers and peers.
● Provide guidance and leadership to solutions team so that solutions are built in line with Enterprise Architecture principles.
● Lead the creation of relevant and meaningful architecture roadmaps, concepts, and other deliverables that enable the overall business for better performance.

Work Experience:

● 10-15 years of related job experience.● 3-5 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent.● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.● Basic experience of simple office/operational systems.● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.● Experienced in providing leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes, and challenges.● Experienced in strategic management and leadership across company functions directing substantial resources over long time frames.● Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.● Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.● Knowledge of major ERP (enterprise resource planning) software applications such as SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft.● Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.● Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).● Strong planning and organization skills are required.
