Position Overview

The Principal Operational Excellence Program Manager and Change Management is responsible for managing and executing operational excellence initiatives and overseeing change management processes across the organization. This role ensures the successful implementation of continuous improvement projects and drives organizational change to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. The Program Manager collaborates with teams and functions across the organization to identify opportunities for improvement and facilitates the adoption of best practices. Acts as a player coach, owning the production of standard reporting and working across workstreams and the central team to solve high visibility problems affecting the transformation’s operations.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

Plan, manage, and execute operational excellence programs and projects.Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to them. Responsible for preparing SVP, Operational Excellence Office (OEO) for regular meetings by liaising with workstreams.Partners with and is a sounding board to SVP, OEO and SR Principle OEO in preparation for CEO staff and other leadership presentations.Monitors project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful project delivery. Reviews OEO reports before they are released and summarizes the key takeaways for the OEO leadership team.Constructs the CEO staff update presentation, providing first draft of the agenda, conducting quality control checks.Coordinates with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project objectives. Acts as a point of contact for workstream leads in need of help driving initiatives forward.Effectively utilizes a “challenger” mindset to breakdown roadblocks, align on decisions, and coordinate the solutions between the OEO and workstreams.Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead continuous improvement initiatives.Utilize methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive efficiency and effectiveness.Train and mentor employees on continuous improvement tools and techniques.Develop and implement change management strategies to support the adoption of new processes and technologies.Conduct impact assessments and readiness evaluations to prepare the organization for change.Communicate change initiatives effectively to all levels of the organization.Manage resistance to change and provide support to ensure smooth transitions. Is responsible for leading problem-solving issues for the OEO that come up in the OEO or other meetings.Establish and monitor performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of operational excellence and change management initiatives.Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and success stories.Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on program performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of improvement initiatives.Lead project teams and provide guidance, support, and direction to achieve project goals.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and gain their support for operational excellence and change management initiatives.Build strong relationships with department heads, team leaders, and other stakeholders to drive collaboration and commitment.Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.Maintain regular and reliable attendance.Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related fieldProven experience in program management, operational excellence, and change management.Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure. Experience managing teams of employees through an operational turnaround of significant change.Track record of consistently delivering high-impact results.Proficiency in data analysis and performance measurement toolsDemonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
 

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degreeExperience working professional services environments, especially management consulting or investment bankingLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black BeltProject Management Professional (PMP)Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)#LI-TA21

Salary Range:

$152,000.00 - $242,000.00

 

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
