Principal Patient Safety Officer

Under the direction of the Director Risk Management, the Patient Safety Program Manager assists to design, implement and evaluate the patient safety program. 

Using assessment tools and patient safety data, the Program Manager assists in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives in collaboration with the quality improvement department. The Program Manager will analyze clinical processes, identify potential risks for patients and develop strategies to maximize safety, effectiveness and efficiency.  The Program Manager assists with the education regarding patient safety, and assists with influencing leaders to achieve measurable improvements in patient safety that will support the sustainability of reductions in medical/healthcare errors and other factors that contribute to unintended adverse patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 5 years experience in an acute care hospital. 2 years Patient safety experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing
