Principal Process Improvement Analyst
We anticipate the application window for this opening will close on - 22 Apr 2025 **Position Description:** Principal Process Improvement Analyst for Medtronic, Inc located in Irvine, CA with responsibility to also support the Santa Ana, CA and San Juan Capistrano, CA facilities. Responsible to coordinate, deploy, and implement Lean and Continuous Improvement throughout the business, including manufacturing operations, quality, safety, and supply chain. Initiate deployment activities within to ensure that improvement actions are directly linked to the strategic and tactical objectives of the operating unit, emphasizing efficiency and effectiveness of business processes, and enabling breakthrough process changes and improvements. Diagram and evaluate existing processes while developing metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Provide strategic plan development and execution. Coordinate Lean and Six Sigma projects, programs, and transformational activities to drive quality improvement and financial savings. Plan, perform, implement on process improvement initiatives, and be a certified Green Belt and Black Belt trainer. Responsible for cell conversions and lean transformation. Leverage capability statistical analysis for process improvement using Minitab software. Leverage Quality System Process, Continuous Improvement, Project Mgmt., Automation, and regulatory audit support. Navigate the complexity of industry and government regulations to include FDA QSR (Quality System Regulation), ISO13485. Responsible for Risk mgmt., validation, and methodical problem solving. Coordinate process improvement, preventive and corrective actions (CAPA), automation, and insourcing and outsourcing. Create and deploy Clean Room layout optimization using AutoCAD software. Relocation assistance is not provided. #LI-DNI **Basic Qualifications:** Masters’ Degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or related engineering field; and five (5) years of experience as a manufacturing engineer, process improvement engineer or related occupation for medical devices. Must possess at least five (5) years’ experience with each of the following: Strategic plan development and execution; Lean Six Sigma; Quality System Process, Project Mgmt., Automation, and regulatory audit support; FDA QSR, ISO 13485; Risk mgmt., validation, and methodical problem solving; Implementing process improvement, CAPA, and insourcing and outsourcing; AutoCAD and Minitab. The following certification is required: Lean Sigma Black belt certified. Relocation assistance not available.
