Our Field Solutions team is a global organization which builds repeatable solutions for common use cases or recurring patterns. In this role you will work cross-functionally supporting Sales, Security Strategists, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Partners, Marketing, Product Engineering, Product Management, among others. You will imagine new ideas and opportunities, deliver custom solutions with cutting edge technologies, and capitalize on market trends. You will operate as a developer, researcher, leader, and subject matter expert creating solutions across the Splunk platform. This position will focus primarily on envisioning, building, and maintaining field solutions for Security and Public Sector use cases. These solutions will accelerate sales and adoption by creating leverage and scale for customers and partners. They will focus on the cybersecurity, fraud, and compliance domains, and will include technology integrations with Enterprise Security (ES) Splunk’s analytics-driven SIEM, Splunk Security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR), Splunk Mission Control, leading Cloud Service Providers (CSP) and Managed Service Providers (MSP). While this role will focus on delivery of new field solutions, each individual on our team contributes in a number of other functional areas as well. These can include evangelism, technical enablement, and working directly with Splunk customers, partners and prospects to discover, implement and refine solutions. At least 10% travel should be expected when it is safe to do so. You will build solutions for use across all of Splunk’s customers and partners, globally.What you'll doWe are looking for an individual who is outstanding at communication both written and oral, who excels at serving as a trusted technical advisor, as well as, executing at a deep technical level with cybersecurity professionals. The ability to operate across organizations collaboratively and autonomously is critical. This is a team that is in regular motion and constantly innovating. You will be expected to:Provide expert security industry knowledge internally to Splunk teams and partners on security and compliance related products.Ability to think outside the box and provide continuous innovationAbility to be disruptive with the solutions that are createdWrite code to onboard or manipulate new, exciting data sources.Build Splunk Technology Add-ons (TAs) or enhancement to our cloud, core or premium products.Build Splunk Apps to visualize data and tell a story that solves technology or business problems.Integrate solutions and data from various sources to address customer or partner needs.Work with external or internal partners to up-level their App or Technology Add-on (TA).Provide hands-on keyboard assistant to a technical sales resource execute a specific portion of a particularly challenging evaluation.Contribute to and/or implement beta and early release software and ensure accurate feedback on product usage reaches Splunk Engineering.Present at an external conference or an internal event on Splunk-relevant topics.Contribute blog posts to our external blog site detailing solutions that you have built or co-developed.Help craft the direction of Splunk’s business through decisions on organic product roadmap or inorganic acquisition.File enhancement or bug reports for issues encountered.These are just a few examples representative of our typical cadence. A flexible and creative approach is absolutely required. In return you will be given guidance, mentorship and support, but will not be told exactly what to do or how to do it.What you'll bring8+ years of proven experience within the cybersecurity space preferably as a practitioner with a track record of building/sharing knowledge and extensive expertise in cybersecurity, modern SOC operations, SIEM, SOAR, or compliance. Practical experience with major Cloud Service Providers is a plus. Deep experience with the following are required: Splunk, recent hands-on experience integrating disparate solutions, and moderate to expert level Python, Javascript, and web development.Up-to-date understanding of current patterns and practices in the cybersecurity and compliance landscape.Significant coding experience with JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (including JQuery), Python or similar scripting language, REST interfaces, and MVC frameworks.Familiarity with modern SDLC methodologies (version control using git, CI/CD pipelines, application security standard methodologies).Experience with data analysis using statistical methods.Experience with data visualizations, UI layout, D3.js, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON.Familiarity with cloud-native serverless architectures.Portfolio of public-facing materials: repositories, whitepapers, blogs, presentations, training materials you have authored.Ability to communicate concisely and accurately with experience in public speaking to audiences large and small.Ability to work remotely and across multiple time zones with a minimum of daily supervision. Self-starter and self-motivated in driving projects from start to finish while meeting delivery deadlines and quality standards.MUST be already located in the U.S. (we are not able to offer relocation or immigration/transfer for this specific role).Ability to travel 20% within the US and Canada.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or similar course of study. Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $181,200.00 - 249,150.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $163,080.00 - 224,235.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $144,960.00 - 199,320.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
