Key job responsibilities
The Principal Product Manager for Capacity Traffic Management of Project Kuiper will play a leading role in defining and implementing the quality of service policies for all customer connectivity traffic on the Kuiper satellite communication network, globally. The successful candidate will have experience with defining QoS policies for consumer, business, and/or government connectivity traffic on a shared network, at a global scale.
In this role, you will help define our service quality performance for all Kuiper services. You will work with external-services product managers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to help define Kuiper services and policies, via expertly crafted working backwards, business requirements documents which can easily be translated into product and engineering deliverables.
You will work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have clear business judgment, dive deep into data, and have core writing skills.
Candidates must be able to analyze data and create QoS policy models with appropriate KPIs for different customer segments. Candidates will have deep understanding of customer needs for modern telecommunication services. Candidates with demonstrated business and operational experience within high scale fixed, wireless and satellite telecommunications services will be preferred.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life
• Defining the service plan QoS policies at a global level across all customer segments
• Manage Business stakeholders across all verticals.
• Interpret network resource costs and productize into QoS policies that are aligned to Kuiper's services portfolio strategy
• Create detailed product requirements documents including use case prioritization, feature definition and product roadmap
• Define the product strategy and make appropriate judgment trade-offs between features and speed-to-launch
• Manage the product lifecycle and work with key internal and external stakeholders
