Albertsons Companies is investing in building a best-in-class fulfillment technology platform to provide the most convenient online grocery shopping experience by offering high quality fresh assortment at an unmatched value through the expansion Last Mile Delivery offerings. To support this, we are in the process of building out a Product team centered around next generation eCommerce fulfillment that includes building the next generation of last mile optimization and delivery experience platform. We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager who can help shape and define our product roadmap and strategy. As part of this new vision the Product Management Department has an opening for a Principal Product Manager. The position’s preferred base is in Pleasanton, CA but is open to our other corporate locations.
Main responsibilities
On the Last Mile Delivery Product team, you will lead a team to pioneer the next frontier of last mile, leveraging the latest technology to get customers whatever they want, how and when they want it If you are motivated by complex, purposeful challenges, this Principal, Product Manager, Last Mile Delivery role could be a fit for you Reimagining how to improve Last mile platform space through improved routing, batching, and reduced Cost per delivery while improving Customer experience Defining product vision and strategies for overall delivery function - 3PL & fleet, collaborating with key third party partners and expansion of premium delivery services. Customer Obsessed - you will always start with customer's needs first and obsess over every aspect of her experience, driving delivery customer NPS and respective roadmap. You solve for long term while delivering results now As a Product Leader - you will lead and inspire your cross-functional stakeholders and build a relationship of trust using data metrics to improve performance. Developing and enhancing products you will manage product roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer and product data, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks Driving product lifecycle from requirement definitions, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, KPIs and other launch efforts. Write user stories as a part of the product development lifecycle that: directly support primary objectives of the project are appropriate in size for iterative development include clear and specific acceptance criteria consider dependencies on other stories and/or projects & initiatives Building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership Conducting industry and competitive analysis to understand the emerging trends in the last mile area within industry to identify new opportunities Conduct customer research to define customer segments and identify needs to inform product roadmap Providing overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs Provide Mentorship & Coaching Mentorship to Product Managers: Offer guidance and support to product managers, helping them develop their skills and succeed in their roles. Collaborate on Cross-Functional Initiatives: Work with various teams on initiatives such as unlocking B2B business opportunities, negotiating network catchment scenarios, and supporting operational and network optimizations. Support Operational and Business Goals: Assist in achieving on-time delivery (OTD), cost per delivery (CPD), and network catchment optimizations. Be recognized as an expert across the division - someone who has excellent judgment and whose projects have contributed significantly to the success of the organization.The salary range is $135,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). What we are searching for
Bachelor's degree in engineering or Business required with 10+ years of experience OR MBA or Masters in Operations Research/Computer Science/Management Science required with 7+ Years experience in Product Management, Data Analytics, Machine Learning Prior experience in Management Consulting is a plus but not a must have Bringing a passion to product management at scale Problem solving with smart people Creative & Innovative - you are an innovative thinker and able to synthesize data from multiple sources (including analytics, user research, and design) to identify key unmet needs and solutions that can address the needs You relish solving problem in the simplest possible way!
