In this role you will shape the product that allows our clients to engage every customer as if they were their only customer - in their preferred channel, when they want to and with content that is most relevant to their situation in that moment. Imagine being able to engage customers on mass, but being contextual, relevant and timely through the use of AI and machine learning to present truly rich user experiences.
Our customers are building such experiences with our 1:1 customer engagement capabilities, while maintaining a large ecosystem of tools to curate and deliver these digital experiences.
You will be focused on solving complex integration problems for our customers in the areas of Customer Engagement, specifically that of access and activation of data. You will be the catalyst and focal point guiding talented engineering teams building differentiated products, enabling our clients in their efforts to integrate a large ecosystem of tools used to deliver personalized experiences to their customers.
You will continue to manage and curate the strategy for key data integration options for the most critical channels and 3rd party vendors that our clients typically work with.
You will be exposed to a range of data technologies and solutions such as Customer Data Platforms, Data Lakes, Decision Data Stores, adaptive and predictive AI, Data streams, Event processing, and channel activation engines, such as Messaging Providers (ESPs, SMS Aggregators, etc) and Campaign Automation tools.
**What You'll Do at Pega:**
**Product Ownership**
+ Oversee and curate a strategy and vision for the ever-evolving Data Ingestion & Activation ecosystems required to fuel an AI driven Customer Engagement platform
+ Maintain a product backlog of top priority work streams that enable the smooth integration & activation of data into and out of the product.
+ Be the Product Owner in Pega’s agile process, including writing clear stories in Pega’s Agile Studio, acceptance of story implementation at Sprint reviews, and conducting periodic business-level play backs to stakeholders to solicit feedback.
+ Negotiate with 3rd parties and client stakeholders to work out the right integration pattern scenarios that balance Pega’s interests with what clients desire, and formally crystallize into clear requirements.
+ Demonstrate expert level knowledge of 1:1 engagement as it relates to our clients’ integration needs.
**Competitive Product & Market Analysis**
+ Stay current on competitive market offerings and deliver on differentiation, positioning, and communications.
+ Meet with 3rd party vendors and partners to maintain a competitive understanding of vendor and client needs
+ Research innovative approaches to solving similar problems, remaining current on all related technologies.
+ Evaluate new and emerging technologies and determine applicability to current and future projects and markets, as related to Data.
+ Initiate formal and informal reviews of ideas and technical objectives – promote ideas and practices which drive innovation
**Leadership/Managerial & Product Evangelism**
+ Motivate and inspire team to achieve outstanding results
+ Coach employees to increase levels of competence and performance
+ Effectively and persuasively communicate plans, roadblocks, and successes with colleagues and make recommendations for improvements
+ Communicate with senior Pega leadership, as well as customer and partner leadership.
+ Help others in support of Pega objectives
+ Support product strategy, future direction, and currently available features and functions to customers, partners, industry analysts and other areas of the organization. This includes speaking engagements, webinars, and customer visits
**Who You Are:**
+ You are highly skilled at creating Product Strategy, vision and roadmap to deliver customer driven integration solutions
+ You are imaginative and creative, able to identify solutions to pervasive customer needs and build features that are differentiated and compelling
+ Highly skilled at managing technical priorities for one or more on-shore / off-shore engineering teams to implement your roadmap
+ You are a strong technologist skilled at adopting leading technologies (open source or otherwise)
+ You enjoy working on innovative teams that drive company growth
+ You excel at influencing key decision-makers
+ You understand the value of data and the difficulty in accessing it or providing access to it.
+ You consistently provide a clear point of view verbally and pictorially
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully to both internal and external customers, including senior executives
**What You've Accomplished:**
+ BA/BS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
+ Minimum 15 years’ experience in software development; Product Analysis, Technical Architect, Technical Project Lead
+ 10+ years in Engineering/Product Management
+ Expert level knowledge of 1:1 Customer Engagement or Marketing Technologies
+ Extensive experience defining, designing and delivering Data Engineering, Analytics, Customer Data Platforms or other similar product
+ Extensive experience defining, designing and delivering enterprise scale systems
+ Solid knowledge of emerging Cloud data provides & their technologies, from providers like Snowflake, Google Big Query/Big Table, AWS Redshift/Dynamo
+ Solid knowledge of NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Mongo, Aerospike and data engineering tools like Apache Spark, Apache NiFi, SQL, Presto, Hive or other similar products used for data analysis and operationalization
+ Solid understanding of software design principles, best practices and dependencies
