Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst to support the Integrated Defense Solutions Operation Unit. This position is within the Business Management organization supporting the C4MD Business Unit in Huntsville, Alabama. The analyst will interact with various business area staff to solve reporting program issues and meet reporting requirements for the program. The analyst will interface with program managers, functional management, control account managers (CAMs) and business managers to provide financial support and analysis.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Sets up cost control system, monitors, and controls costs/schedules for contracts requiring Earned Value Management (EVMS)Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelinesPrepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduledEnsures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the governmentIncorporates contractual changes into the control system by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines to include assisting in the development of planning directivesResponsible for the preparation and submittal of monthly IPMR or IPMDAR CDRLs (Formats 1-7), CSDR Reporting, and CFSRGuides CAMs with EVMS activities to include time-phasing of budgets and forecast; determining the appropriate earned value methodology and performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates, variance analysis research and reporting, EVM trip wire review and analysis, coordinating the completion of monthly EVM artifactsWorks closely with Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing in the development and maintenance of the cost/schedule baseline and forecasts for both production labor and materialPerforms and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, cash forecasting, variance analysis, and quarterly financial EACsAssists in preparing for internal and external auditsBasic Qualifications for Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level 3)
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearanceHigh school diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of business, finance, and/or program control experienceOr Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of business, finance, and/or program control experienceOR Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of business, finance, and/or program control experienceMinimum 2 years of experience with EVMS reportingPrior experience using Cobra and SAPStrong computer skills with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. working with pivot tables and vlookup/xlookup)Must be able to work onsite in Huntsville, AL or Redondo Beach, CAPreferred Qualifications
Prior experience using IBM Financial Planning / Cognos Analytics Experience with SAP/BW reporting such as Excel based Analysis OfficeStrong communication and presentation skills to management and stakeholdersSalary Range: $84,600.00 - $133,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
