Principal Program Manager, E-Commerce
Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Program Manager to own key programs and projects for Whole Foods Market’s E-Commerce channels. You will lead program definition and execution in partnership with merchandising, marketing, operations, finance, and technology stakeholders, providing thought leadership and spearheading innovation to drive the evolution of grocery E-Commerce at Whole Foods Market and Amazon.  

This role is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Store Support office five days a week.

Responsibilities:

Acts as strategic owner for designated e-commerce programs, initiatives, and projectsResponsible for managing the planning, execution and delivery of assigned program to achieve customer, business and financial resultsRecommends and builds business cases to support the prioritization of new projects and strategies to drive program resultsWorks cross-functionally with partners in Operations, Merchandising, Technology and/or Marketing to define program strategy and executionCreates and ensures effective execution of cross-functional project and program teams, including:Establishing project strategy and objectivesCreating and managing timelinesCreating and managing budgetsEnsuring appropriate communication and information sharingDetermines metrics and analyzes program results; makes data-based recommendations for the next program evolutionDrives business operational cadence for assigned programs and projects, including weekly business reviews, monthly/quarterly business reviews, and annual operating plansDevelops annual plans for assigned programs and projects, including financial targets, input and output goals, and required investmentSupports leadership efforts to identify, assess, and hire new TMsProvides program and project leadership on various e-commerce initiatives

Skills:

Strong understanding of Ecommerce and retail strategy, planning, and executionStrong quantitative, financial and business acumen with experience building financial models and defining and vetting assumptionsStrong analytical skills with a knack for interpreting trends and data, and making informed projections/assertionsLeads and facilitates discussions, debates and decision-making process with cross-functional partners and senior leadershipExcellent interpersonal communication skills and levels of tact, diplomacy and confidentialityAble to communicate effectively with senior management stakeholdersParticipates in and provides senior-level support to team and cross-functional program stakeholdersAdvanced understanding of standard project and/or product management methodologies and requirementsAdvanced ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projectsAbility to oversee and advise on project management issues and assist with overcoming barriersAbility to keep multiple projects on track financially, strategically and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines

Education & Experience:
