“A Day in the Life” 

As the Program Manager you will drive, direct, plan, and execute for large initiatives. You will work closely with a business counterpart to jointly lead our multi-year initiative along with our digital transformation program consisting of multiple tracks/projects, overseeing multiple internal IT and business teams as well as external solution and system integrator vendors. You will be responsible for maximizing resources and ensuring deadlines are met. This includes managing program risks and issues, program financials, change management, ROI analysis, stakeholder management, and program governance. In this position you will be responsible for senior level program-related communication, tailoring the level of information to the audience. You will be expected to manage relationships across the company as well as with third party vendors. You will also work with constituent project partners to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program. You will identify areas of complexity and ambiguity and lead teams through objective decision process to achieve consensus on the path forward. This role reports to the VP, IT. 

 

 

“What You’ll Do”

Build and lead a Program management function/capability, including implementation of Jira and SmartSheet to facilitate management of projects of various sizes and report on a project portfolio.Oversee the Company’s Information Technology program related projects. Stand up and lead the Company’s IT Supported, Business Led Innovation process including initiative prioritization, investment profile and return assessments, alignmentManage Program Scope: Develop and obtain approval for program and project charters including costs and benefits for the organization and deliver expected function within committed time and budget. Oversee regular project status/quality meetings and reports.Keep management and key stakeholders well informed on a timely basis on project or program progress, status, and/or concerns for each assignment. Review project metrics and facilitate project scorecard development to ensure enterprise-wide program success. Address program issues by identifying and selecting a course of action by taking into account the program constraints and objectives in order to enable continued program progress.Develop program communication plans and demonstrate effective communication to the senior management team, project team, and stakeholders.Support organizational change management and solution adoption throughout program lifecycle. Manage the Organizational Change Management function.Cultivate business partner and project team relationships and help manage expectations, providing excellent customer service. Establish alliances with other departments by recognizing dependencies in order to assess potential partnership and commitment to the program. Develop Cost and Budget Plans and manage accordingly. Provide input to ensure adequate project staffing, budgeting, and resource management.Negotiates and prepares contracts by considering the financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements. In this position you will also perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 

 

“Must Haves”

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.  PMI PMP certified required, PgMP preferred. 5 years in IT Program Management or related experience Experience managing implementations of ERP or other large enterprise business applicationsExtensive experience managing multiple complex simultaneous projects involving cross-functional project teams within budgetary and schedule constraints.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding documentation, organization, time management, and problem solving skills. Ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity to an objective consensus based approach.Proficiency with program and project management software, tools, models, and frameworks.Ability to build consensus within technology and the business community and to work through others in achieving desired results and objectives. Flexibility in response to change.
