Principal Program Manager, R2L Learning and Development
Description The Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) Learning organization exists to create a best in class onboarding experience for Rapid and Rural Logistics leaders. We design leader development programming for T3-L7s leaders, focusing on fostering a culture of safety, effective people leadership, and operational excellence. Key job responsibilities The Principal Program Manager for Journey Mapping, Strategy Integration and Hourly Leader onboarding will harmonize and elevate initial onboarding programs generated for T3-L7 leaders and ensure coherence with Continuous Development leader programs. This single threaded leader will improve and develop mechanisms used across partner teams to optimize resource allocation and address program needs. As a part of this leader’s strategy integration work, they will also ideate Big Ideas which foster continuous improvement and innovation including piloting new technologies, processes and strategies to drive efficiencies in training development and deployment. The Principal Program Manager will also define standards to ensure leader development products holistically create a world class lifecycle for leadership development effectively establishing an internal pipeline of operations leaders for R2L businesses. In additional to Leadership Journey Mapping and Strategy Integration, the Leadership Proficiency Principal Program Manager will own Tier 3 hourly leader onboarding. This leader will surface lessons learned for current journeys and define and execute a roadmap to optimize the onboarding of hourly leaders across the R2L network. About the team The Leadership Proficiency team helps Rapid and Rural logistics leaders onboard into their roles and build their skills as they progress to proficiency. The team creates strategic learning programs to support leader skill development and fostering a culture of safety, effective people leadership, and operational excellence. The team partners closely with key stakeholders across Ops, OI/OpX, WHS, and more to create holistic programs and strategies that achieve shared goals. Basic Qualifications - 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience - 7+ years of program or project management experience - 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements Preferred Qualifications - Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
