Principal Program Manager

Progressive Leasing is hiring a Principal Program Manager (Remote). Reporting to the VP of Product, you will work cross functionally with other teams at Progressive in order to achieve goals and objectives.

 

This role can be performed remotely anywhere in the US or from our corporate locations in Draper, UT.

 

THE DETAILS

Progressive Leasing is committed to delivering world-class technology solutions. To accomplish this, we are seeking a knowledgeable Principal Portfolio Manager to serve as a key resource and partner for our Technology teams. This role will have a focus on coaching Delivery Managers, Product and Engineering leaders as well as Progressive software development teams on change management processes and continuous improvement efforts to achieve organizational objectives. This individual contributor role will be pivotal in driving change that increases the effectiveness of the delivery process for our internal and external customers and retail partners. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Coaches, mentors and partners with Delivery Managers and Project Managers to drive continuous improvements to advance process maturity including process definition, template design, project and change management best practices into repeatable operational processesContributes to the design and implementation of enterprise Agile methodology, SAFe or equivalent SDLC across the organization to coordinate dependencies and collaborate with other teamsIdentifies organizational impediments and participates in efforts to mitigate or eliminate same in partnership with othersDrives enterprise-wide initiatives to provide coordination, leadership and executive level reporting on top tier portfolio deliverables Improve delivery consistency and alignment with strategic objectives from initiation to implementationFacilitate the identification of areas of risk and develop appropriate mitigation strategies and escalation paths as appropriateEnsure that progress updates and milestones are documented and presented transparently and in a timely manner to appropriate organization leadersRemove team level impediments and clear the path for effective delivery of value to customers; escalate when appropriateProcess health coach: identification of trends to empower teams to work toward measurable process improvements and best practices resulting in more effective delivery processFacilitates discussions to break down barriers, drive resolution of conflicts, identify alternate approaches to solve problemsWhile this role will be housed within the Agile Portfolio Office, it is intended to play a horizontal role across the enterprise, and drive alignment and optimization of the portfolio, holding accountable the teams responsible for delivery within and outside of technology

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 10+ years of combined program management and development leadership experience required, with at least 5 years using Agile methodologiesLed Agile at scale and is experienced with SAFe or equivalent SDLCProven ability to build and lead a portfolio management organization in an agile/product focused group – including leading, developing and attracting Delivery ManagersFamiliarity with portfolio financial concepts including project cost, resource costing, ROI modeling and overall business value segmentationProven experience with enterprise-size projects in multiple technologies and functionsTechnical application development experience strongly preferredScrum and coaching certifications are preferredBachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree preferred, in Computer Science or a related Information Technology field or equivalent experience required
