The\nHoneywell Aerospace Technologies propulsion project engineering team has an\nimmediate opening for a Principal Project Engineer on the HTF Growth team to lead\ntechnical definition of a new centerline turbofan engine.  You will work with a diverse and highly\ncross-functional team drive system level trade studies to improve product\nperformance.  You will lead definition\nthe product configuration and assist the product chief engineers in providing technical\ndirection and decomposing requirements to the systems and component teams.  You will support customer pursuits,\ncompetitive assessments and strategic roadmap development for the commercial\nturbofan business.

YOU MUST HAVEA Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering15+ years’ engineering experience in design, development, test and/or certification of gas turbine engines, engine control systems or other aerospace systemsDemonstrated experience in engine performance and product definitionWE VALUEExperience leading complex technical projects that require interfacing with cross-functional teams and with external customers and suppliers.Strong technical experience in propulsion systems and gas turbine enginesStrong problem-solving skills; ability to make progress in the face of limited resources and information.Ability to provide significant technical contributions essential to the successful completion of projects.Superior interpersonal and communications skills; ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.Experience managing customer or supplier relationshipsStrong organizational skills, and demonstrated persistence in following actions to closure.Good working knowledge of Part 33 and Part 25 certification, including ability to work with the ODA and Chiefs to define certification impacts and leading efforts to produce necessary certification documents.Strong project management skills, including experience in budget and schedule management, risk management and earned value management.
