As a Principal Software Engineer in Test, you blend extensive technical experience in test automation with business domain knowledge and data analysis. The ideal candidate would be proficient in operating systems, networks, and programming languages with a focus on cyber security testing. In an agile structure, you will partner with Squad Leads to implement test automation and execute manual testing to increase efficiencies in testing and support the squad in building highly stable applications that meet business needs.
The TeamIn FFIO Test Engineering Chapter, we work in partnership with squad leaders and squad members that align to FFIO Tribes to promote testing practices, implement test automation, and execute testing in support of technology-based initiatives.
The RoleIn this role, you will be collaborating with a team of technologists enthusiastic about promoting testing practices, implementing test automation, and executing testing with development and business partners!
Review test strategies with stakeholders and ensure that all the various kinds of testing like unit, functional, performance, acceptance etc. are getting covered.Developing and maintaining automated suites/Frameworks of tests to assess product quality and release readiness.Developing Automation Framework related to application Security.Conduct Vulnerability assessment for applications in the organization.Find security vulnerabilities in source code.Train squads on test managementConduct manual testing.The Expertise You Have8+ years of software product experience working on commercially available software.5+ years of relevant technical experience and experience in test automation3+ years of relevant experience with cyber security testingFamiliar with security threats and trends for financial industry.Experience creating, maintaining, and enforcing the overall program test plan with stakeholders based on evolving schedules and timelines.Experience testing for locally hosted vendor applications.Ensuring that all the various kinds of testing like unit, functional, performance, acceptance etc. are being covered.Experience reporting on the test progress, the product quality status and overall test results to initiative stakeholders.Financial services and Agile/ Scrum experienceBachelor’s degree or greater is required.A Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) credential is a plus but not required.The Skills You BringExcellent communication skills and collaboration skills to collaborate with multiple teams across the organization.Drive a strong quality practice and influence the Squad to focus on quality in each sprint.Continuously focus on improving stability and resiliency of critical business processes and applicationsAbility to drive the test automation strategy within the team.Firsthand experience with crafting and maintaining testing frameworks like Junit, Cucumber, FitnesseIntermediate Java skillsGood understanding of web services testingSQL skills is a mustFirsthand experience with DAST/SAST testing concepts, application access controls, configuration auditing.Firsthand experience with manual penetration testing of applications.Data analysis and technical troubleshootingBuild efficiencies in testing that increase agility and time to deliver business value.The Value You BringCreate efficiencies in testing that increase agility and time to deliver business value.Drive a strong quality practice and influence the Squad to focus on quality in each sprint.Continuously focus on improving stability and resiliency of critical business processes and applicationsSalary Grade: 6Organization: FFIO TechnologyLocation: WLK
