We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to join our team. By implementing robust quality control and assurance processes, you will work to prevent quality issues before they arise, minimize costs associated with quality defects, and drive continuous improvement. What You Will Do

Supplier Quality Control processes are effective through engagement in FAI; conformance inspection plans/methods/equipment; and driving corrective actions to prevent repeat rejects.Supplier Quality Assurance processes are effective through:Developing and implementing proactive quality strategiesContract review/flow down supplier performance reviews and improvementIdentifies and mitigates new repair risks utilizing Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) tools.Conducts process reviews to identified opportunities to prevent defects.Manage supplier scorecard programInternal and external audits to identify opportunities to improve compliance to AS 9100 series standardsLead Continuous Improvement projects to improve first pass yield and reduce costs of poor quality through internal corrective actionsData Analysist for quality metrics used to drive quality improvement. In particular validating QNs.Provide SAP Quality Module administrationManage Escape Management to contain, disposition and prevents future escapesPerform conformance inspections as needed support Inspection team as needed to keep backlog down

What You Will Learn

Gain hands-on experience with conformance inspection plans, methods, and equipment to ensure product quality at every stage.Learn how to develop and implement proactive quality strategies to mitigate risks before they affect production.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

Qualifications We Prefer

Two years of experience working with suppliers on corrective actions and quality improvements.Experience managing quality escape investigations.Experience working within the SAP Quality Module

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. 

*Position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
