Principal R&D Project Engineer

This position is for a Principal Research and Development\n(R&D) Project Engineer in Propulsion Technology Development within the\nAdvance Technology organization. This position would develop next generation's\nturbine engine products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated\nengineering team. You will be a technical focal point across Honeywell\nAerospace engineering teams creating solutions and systems that meet the\nevolving needs of our customers. You will leverage advanced tools and techniques\nto deliver high impact business results while serving as a technical leader and\ncoach to other engineers and technology stakeholders. By collaborating with\ncustomers and broader engineering teams, you will influence product and\nmethodology developments to advance the technology.

Key responsibilities:

This\n position involves technology activities in support of the Honeywell\n Engines Technology Plans.Key\n aspects of this position involve program management and the transition of\n propulsion technologies into Honeywell’s products. Overall\n responsibilities include project scope and plan definition; and project\n execution including cost control, schedule, and risk management for\n multiple Advanced & Applied Propulsion Systems and Component\n Technology projects within the Advanced Propulsion & Power group.The\n successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary matrix team with\n internal departments, external suppliers, engineers, financial planning\n & control personnel and resident experts to accomplish project\n objectives.As the\n project owner, this position is the single point of accountability for a\n project/program and would also lead advance technology proposals, manage\n cost and support technical marketing.

YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s\n degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as\n the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics+8\n years experience leading research and development technology projects\n within the gas turbine industry or equivalent.
