Position Summary
If you are a motivated Senior RFIC Designer with skills and interest in designing RF blocks that will be used in numerous cellphones sold today, Skyworks’ IP team is looking for you!
As a part of Skyworks IP development team, you will work on silicon RF products as well as developing RF IPs that are used across the company. You will be designing RF circuits such as LNAs, PAs and switches.
You will be expected to explore, devise and prototype a variety of RF circuits in order to enhance the competitive position of Skyworks. The work involves close interaction with product teams to devise solutions that meet or exceed demanding customer requirements. In particular, a variety of LNA and switch topologies are to be devised and cataloged to satisfy Skyworks customer specifications. The work also involves helping Skyworks design community in RF IP integration, IP customization and performance verification via simulation. In this role you will collate requirements from various design teams and work with our systems team to define specifications for Skyworks IPs. You will also work on device optimization to maximize the performance of said RF circuits. #LI-DB1
Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop RFIC blocks to meet requirements of product developments teams including all necessary collaterals including documentation and integration guides
Update existing IP designs to serve the needs of various design teams
Spend 50% of time on direct product development of LNAs, switches, and PAs that are integrated into Skyworks RF front-end modules
MSEE + 8 - 10 years experience or PhD + 6 years
Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, documentation, and presentation skills
A positive, can-do attitude
Minimum 8-10 years RF design experience in Si/SOI/SiGe processes
Experience in analog design for control of RF circuits such as temperature sensor, DAC, ADC, TIA, BGAP, current source, voltage regulator
Fluency in virtuoso design environment from schematic capture to GDSII
Track record of designs that resulted in high-volume manufacturing
Hands on experience using RF lab equipment
PA design using GaAS HBT/HEMT
Verilog-A modeling
Python programming
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $126,500 - $241,700. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
