Job Description:

Parsons Corporation has an immediate opening for an experienced Principal-level Civil Roadway & Highway Engineer. This role is for supporting design engineering of various Michigan DOT projects, as well as surrounding regional projects.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

Responsible for the technical excellence of the engineering functions of the projects including coordination of technical disciplines and development of project alternatives, and preliminary and final designDesign horizontal and vertical roadway alignments, and super elevation diagramsDesign of ramps, interchanges, and road aperturesPerform quantity calculations project estimatesManaging Associate Engineers in completing project deliverablesDevelop details to construction, detour, signing and marking, as well as erosion control drawingsCoordinate with project team and interdisciplinary technical personnelAssists the project manager in completing the project deliverablesEnsures project is adhering to client criteria and scopeAssist in preparing technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project managementAssist in obtaining, analyzing, and circulating technical and contractual information to project disciplinesMay be responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of projects to meet project goals and objectivesAssist functional managers to identify company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work Assist in identifying new project pursuits, gathers intelligence regarding these pursuits, participates in Parsons’ pursuit process, and may lead response to client requests for proposals/qualifications

 

What Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring:

4-year degree in Civil  Engineering (or related field)10 years or more of related work experienceRoadway & Highway design experience with state DOT or Federal Highway projectsGeometric alignments designMicrostation experience is essential, either with Inroads, OpenRoads, or GeopakProfessional Engineer (PE) is highly preferred

Salary Range: 

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
