We are currently seeking a Principal Scientist specialized in respiratory biology to join our Immunology Discovery team within the Immunology Therapeutic Area to be based in Spring House, PA. You will be integral to our mission of developing novel therapies targeting respiratory diseases. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge and subject matter expertise in immune pathways implicated in pathogenesis of respiratory diseases. Recent lab-based experience in T2 and non-T2 immune cell analysis, primary cell culture, lung organoid and in vivo models relevant to asthma and COPD. We are looking for someone with a strong sense of scientific curiosity and innovation, who thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities: + Plays a critical role in shaping discovery respiratory strategy and providing technical expertise and leadership in an interdisciplinary environment. + Builds, aligns and executes technical and strategic respiratory plans to achieve long-term objectives. + Serves as a respiratory disease subject-matter expert withing immunology discovery. + Generate innovative ideas by identifying emerging scientific concepts and converting those in drug development opportunities. + Mentors and supports junior scientists and peers, fostering growth and through direct or matrixed relationships. + Have excellent interpersonal skills and effectively communicates technical information to broad audiences. **Qualifications** + PhD in immunology, biology, pharmacology or a related field with demonstrable recent experience in respiratory biology. + Evidence of high-impact publication(s) in respiratory biology. + Over 5 years industry experience in respiratory drug-development and working effectively withing a drug development team. + Proficiency in enzyme immunoassays, multicolor flow-cytometry, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, cellular immunology, primary bronchial epithelial, lung organoid, immune cell culture and in vivo respiratory models. + Must be self-driven, focused and determined to bring new medicine for patients suffering from respiratory diseases. + Eagerness to learn and implement new techniques rapidly, and a passion for scientific innovation. + Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external key stakeholders (e.g. CROs academic investigators).
