The Principal Scientist is responsible for providing technical support to the Micro E business in delivering new and continuous improvement products to achieve business revenue. This position will allow the candidate to learn more about advanced technology nodes that our customers are applying and translate the learnings into an NPD or CIP project.
 

This position reports to the Micro E SLS VP and is part of the Micro E SLS department located in Hsinchu, Taiwan. It will be an on-site role.
 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Engage with advanced node customers to understand needs for new product technology in WEC applications and promote the optimal filtration configuration for new formulation chemicals.Help develop strategy, with a cross-functional team, to meet the needs.Work with the global customer-facing SLS TS team to develop an action plan to address customer problems.Develop new internal test methods to correlate with on-wafer defectivity.Enhance existing lab testing capabilities such that they are aligned with customers’ enhanced requirements.
 

The essential requirements of the job include:

Master’s degree in chemistry or related engineering degrees.5 years or more experience in working in the semiconductor industry, either as a vendor or in the manufacturing process.5 years or more experience in working on process development related to WEC, including optimization of chemical and process conditions.More than 5 years’ experience in the use of WEC tools in wafer fab.More than 1 year of experience in evaluating or using new chemical formulations related to wafer WEC processes.
 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

Ability to travel – up to approximately 30% travel, overnight, within territory or overseas locations.
 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Research and development in filtration products for enhanced cleanliness.Application development in advanced nodes Wet Etch and Clean processes.
