The Department of Breast Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute seeks a Principal Scientist to join our efforts in identifying better treatments for our patients with breast cancer and leading our translational research team. We are applying innovative methods in multiple clinically oriented studies to help advance efforts for precision cancer medicine. The Principal Scientist, in collaboration with faculty leaders in our division and Translational Hub, principal investigators, computational biologists and senior director of cohort and translational studies, will be involved in leading cross-disciplinary efforts to perform translational research to develop new therapies to improve outcomes. The aim of these efforts will be to characterize mutations by describing evolutionary dynamics and identifying mechanisms of resistance and predictors of therapeutic benefit. These new data could help identify novel approaches for personalized care in oncology. In addition, these studies will support research that will leverage new methods in clinical decision-making, biomarkers for rational drug development, and new insights into tumor biology through innovative analyses.
