**Job Summary and Qualifications**
JOB SUMMARY
The Consulting Security Engineer is a technical position with Zscaler Experience. They will be responsible for managing and optimizing Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange platform to enhance security across the enterprise. This role includes providing operational support, troubleshooting, and performing version testing and software upgrades for Zscaler services. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and minimal disruption of the Zscaler platform, acting as a subject matter expert on Zscaler’s security solutions.
This role will operate with field engineers, IT security teams, and division stakeholders to maintain and improve Zscaler security measures, ensuring seamless integration with other security systems. This role also involves collaborating with Zscaler’s product support teams to resolve technical issues and discuss product roadmaps.
The candidate will have advanced technical expertise in cloud security solutions and will support both the development and implementation of security policies and procedures within the enterprise. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Zscaler's cloud security platform, particularly in the areas of threat protection, secure access, and data protection. A strong focus on providing customer support across the organization and contributing to overall IT security initiatives is critical.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Zscaler Platform Support: Provide operational support for Zscaler services, ensuring secure and optimized access to resources. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Zscaler security services.
+ Security Implementation and Maintenance: Deploy and manage Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange to ensure comprehensive threat protection and secure access for remote users, devices, and cloud applications. Implement security updates, perform version testing, and document software changes and configurations.
+ Collaboration and Strategy Development: Work with IT security teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate Zscaler solutions into the enterprise security infrastructure. Collaborate with external vendors, including Zscaler support, to resolve complex technical issues and to stay updated on product features and best practices. Support the implementation of security measures and policies in alignment with enterprise security standards.
+ Training and Support: Provide technical support and training to team members, field admins, and IT staff on Zscaler functionalities and best practices. Share knowledge and assist in the development of documentation to ensure security practices are understood and followed.
+ Reporting and Metrics: Provide monthly reports on security metrics and activities, including system health, threat management, and optimization efforts. Participate in regular security assessments and audits.
+ Continuous Improvement: Monitor Zscaler's platform performance and make recommendations for improvement. Keep up-to-date on the latest security threats and Zscaler platform updates to proactively enhance security posture.
+ Weakness Detection and Rectification: Detect weaknesses in systems or cloud services and recommend rectification methods. Success is measured by the identification and effective mitigation of vulnerabilities.
+ Continuous Learning and Knowledge Sharing: Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Success is measured by the application of new knowledge to improve security practices and the sharing of this knowledge with the team.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various business units and interface regularly with technical and non-technical members of the organization, as well as senior business and ITG/IPS leaders. Success is measured by the effectiveness of communication and collaboration, leading to successful project outcomes and enhanced security awareness across the organization.
+ Proactive Communication: Demonstrate the ability to proactively communicate important updates and issues to management in a timely manner. Success is measured by the frequency and relevance of updates provided, ensuring management is well-informed and able to make strategic decisions based on accurate and current information.

EDUCATION
+ Bachelor’s Degree Required
+ Other as Noted: Experience and or Technical Training may be substituted for education
OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
+ 7+ years of experience in Information Technology
+ 5+ years of experience operating in large organizations and adapting to their culture
+ Must have a deep understanding of Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange platform, SSE technologies and concepts, with experience in configuring, optimizing, and managing the service.
+ Strong technical knowledge of cloud security principles, firewall configurations, and threat protection strategies.
+ Experienced developing and implementing solutions to comply with industry and regulatory requirements (i.e., HIPAA, PCI, SOX, GDPR)
+ Strong business acumen, deep critical thinking and decision-making skills
+ Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
+ Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach.
+ Strong knowledge of security specific technologies: Encryption, PKI, Authentication Protocols, Authorization Protocols, Directory Services, ID Federation, SSO Technologies, Cloud Containers & Kubernetes, Strong Authentication, etc
+ Functional knowledge of many emerging technical domains: Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Mobile Computing, APT Attacks, Botnets, Client-Side Attacks, etc
+ Excellent multi-tasking, prioritization and time management skills
+ Experience working in a healthcare environment securing clinical applications and information is a preferred
+ One of the following certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CISA, GSEC, Zscaler Digital Transformation Engineer (ZDTE) is preferred
+ Experience and or Technical Training may be substituted for education
