The Principal Security Specialist interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. They will be tasked with solving complex security-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Security Specialist may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and is regarded as a specialist in the field of security. As such, they must have in-depth expertise in security and broad knowledge of the security discipline within the Health Safety Environment function. Reporting to the MDR Marine Facility Security Officer (MFSO) and to the Site Security Lead/Deputy Site Security Lead when the MFSO is absent from site, the Deputy Marine Facility Security Officer (D/MFSO) will support and assume all MFSO roles when the MFSO is away from site (illness, leave, rotational time off). These duties include being responsible for establishing and directly overseeing Marine Security (MARSEC) conditions and processes, approved by Transport Canada, for the security of international marine assets on the WLNG Project– specifically international vessels arriving at the Marine Offloading Facility (MOF) to unload prefabricated modules and/or other construction materials
