We are looking for you to join our Mission and Requirements Engineering team as Principal Model Based Systems Engineer / Senior Principal Model Based Systems Engineer, 100% on-site at our Linthicum, MD location.
What You’ll get to Do:
As an integral part of our Missions and Requirements disciplined team you will be responsible for optimizing the way we work through modeling and simulation applications, enhancing communication and collaboration across functions and throughout the system life cycle.
System concept development
Elicitation and specification of functional requirements, and decomposition and traceability of those requirements
Performance analysis and specification
Architecture Trade Studies
Synthesize and extend architectures
Allocate functionality to components
Definition of interfaces, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
Detailed Design Analysis; May also involve test design
Use modern model-based systems engineering approaches that make extensive use of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) skills; integrate M&S analysis models with descriptive models
Determine task schedules and levels of effort needed to meet program goals
Communicate technical capabilities and analyses with internal stakeholders and external customers
This requisition may be filled as a Principal Model Based Systems Engineer or a Senior Principal Model Based Systems Engineer.
This position is contingent upon contract award, the successful transfer of an active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Model Based Systems Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, master's degree with 3 years of experience or a Ph.D with 1 year of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S Citizenship required.
A current/active DoD Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.
Frequent use of Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
Knowledge of MBSE and relative methodologies, e.g. OOSEM
Experience with descriptive modeling tools, e.g. Cameo, e.g. Rhapsody
Experience with version control using e.g. Teamwork Cloud, SVN, GitHub
Experience with DOORS and requirements/architecture linking
Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Model Based Systems Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, master's degree with 6 years of experience or a Ph.D with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S Citizenship required.
A current/active DoD Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.

Advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher with Special Program Access
Domain knowledge in RF sensors
OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification
Experience with Physics-based Model or Simulation Development
Experience with Multidisciplinary Design Analysis Optimization (MDAO)
Experience with Mission PLM
Experience with Digital Twin
Experience with Digital Ecosystems / Environments
Experience working in an Agile Development Environment
