What you’ll do:
Develop high-performance hardware interfacing Linux kernel drivers and system librariesArchitect frameworks for our next generation of SoC based systems from conception to productionCollaborate with colleagues across multiple teams to driver kernel development strategiesCustomize the device tree to reflect the specific hardware configuration of the automotive SDV platform. Ensure accurate descriptions of peripherals, memory regions, and interconnects.Implement security measures to protect against cyber threats and ensure the integrity of the automotive system. This includes features like secure boot, signed kernel modules, and intrusion detection systems.Implement mechanisms for secure over-the-air updates to ensure that the automotive Linux distribution can receive software updates and patches remotely without compromising safety or securityLinux Kernel DebuggingEstablish a maintenance plan for the automotive Linux distribution, including regular updates, patch management, and lifecycle support to address evolving requirements and security threats.Provides technical leadership, interacts and collaborates with many teams cross-functionally.Mentors and provides guidance to others. Performs other related duties as assigned.Creates and communicates vision & strategies specific to functional responsibilities. May include preparing and giving presentations.
What we’re looking for:
12+ years of experience in kernel driver development and board support packageSolid understanding of Linux Kernel Frameworks (DMA, V4L2, ALSA, UART)Experience with embedded build systems – e.g. Yocto, Buildroot, OpenWrtKnowledge of bootloader configuration and customization (e.g., U-Boot, GRUB) for booting Linux on embedded systems.Familiarity with device tree usage for describing hardware configurations and bindings in embedded Linux environmentsKnowledge of Linux Kernel Internals (e.g. memory management, synchronization, device driver framework)Experience deploying commercial embedded Linux systemsExperience with board bringup processes, including hardware initialization, peripheral configuration, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with ARM architecturesExperience working with the Linux kernel community and upstreaming drivers Experience with bringup/validation/system level testing of SoC’sEffective interpersonal, leadership, and communication skillsThe compensation information is a good faith estimate only. The salary range for this role is $225,000 and $334,800. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
