Autodesk is seeking a Principal Software Engineer at Bengaluru to join the Digital Employee Experience (DEX) team within the Enterprise Systems and Experience organization. This software engineering team delivers employee experience platforms and products that enrich and improve the overall Autodesk employee experience

Responsibilities

The team is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to work with existing full-stack development teams in their journey towards becoming a world-class, transformational engineering team. In this role you will:Lead and guide an autonomous, agile-based development practice delivering value at high velocityPlay a crucial role in architecting solutions that enhance the employee experience, requiring a deep understanding of both current and emerging technologiesHands-on responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering high-value applications with strong emphasis on cloud-based and AI-powered solutionsCreating and enforcing engineering standards and practices, ensuring that team adheres to high-quality development principlesPromoting a culture of metrics-based analysis and decision-making within the teamCollaborate and coordinate across teams to ensure reliable, scalable, secure, and highly available software solutionsEnsure delivery of high-quality solutions by actively participating in quality assurance effortsWorking closely with stakeholders and product teams, requiring excellent collaborative skills and the ability to coordinate efforts across globally distributed teams
 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor (preferably Masters) in Computer Science or equivalent work experienceStrong experience as a full-stack engineer developing and testing both frontend and backendExperience designing and building RESTful APIs using Microservices architectureExperience with web technology stacks (React, Next, Core Web Vitals)Hands-on experience with AWS (or other cloud provider's) services such as SQS, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda, etcDemonstrated technical leadership experience such as being an architect or tech lead for high impact projects, comfortable defining technical solutionExcellent interpersonal communication skillsAn innovative and collaborative approach with a commitment to engaging with engineers and AI Center of Excellence
 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience deciding when to use architectural, integration and software design patternsA team-player, self-motivated, autonomous, empathetic with a result-focused passion to deliver an overall solutionExperience in mentoring peer engineers
