JOB TITLE: Principal-Software Engineer
REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker
JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard St. Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]
DUTIES: Build and maintain platform concerns: common utility libraries and content management libraries. Participate in the evaluation of new open source and OTS solutions for implementation and adoption of standard platform capabilities supporting product CMS delivery teams. Utilize Content Management technical and architecture knowledge to design modular and scalable web components. Work in large cross-organizational software development projects and utilize current micro front-end and micro-services technologies. Communicate with stakeholders
and peers working in the product delivery team regarding core strategies, standards and concepts. Lead the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems while remaining in a hands-on engineering role. Provide functional and technical leadership and mentor software engineers. Work with other leads, engineers, architects, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify technical and functional needs of systems based on priority. Write quality code and perform automated testing and validation. Perform complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment and production support. Work in the UI/Microservices/Content Management area of expertise. Write quality code using NodeJs, Express, GraphQL, ReactJs and HTML/CSS3. Design and develop caching solutions utilizing Akamai and Redis. Test applications using unit test frameworks: Chai, Mocha, Expect, Jest, Sinon, Karma Frameworks and Postman to maintain code coverage. Develop and deploy applications using build automation tools: GitHub, Visual Studio, NPM, Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, Nexus, Maven, and Jenkins. Maintain application code quality using Sonar. Monitor application security by performing SAST and SCA scans using Veracode tool. Monitor applications and their API performance using Dynatrace. Troubleshoot application issues using Dynatrace, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) and Quantum Metrics tools. Work with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) and other production teams to triage and fix production issues. Participate in reverse engineering activities to migrate applications from Java to NodeJs and from AEM CMS to Sanity CMS. Participate in solutioning with business stakeholders to improve time-to-market for online marketing content. Collaborate with Resilience Engineering team for performing performance tests and load tests on the application. Work with testing teams for End-to-End Validation of the application. Work with front-end tools: Webpack, Yarn, Jest, and Gulp. Conduct the architecture and design of systems using Micro services architecture.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate
experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation building and maintaining platform concerns: common utility libraries
and content management libraries; working in large cross-organizational software development projects and current micro front-end and micro-services technologies; working in the UI,
Microservices, and Content Management area of expertise; writing quality code using NodeJs, Express, GraphQL, ReactJs and HTML/CSS3; working with front-end tools: Webpack, Yarn,
Jest, and Gulp; and conducting the architecture and design of systems using Micro services architecture.
