On the Associate Work Management (AWM) Team you will have opportunity to help us route the right work, to the right place, at the right time.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Team Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day tactical team decisionsRequired to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyAccountable for team’s use and adherence to best practices and methodologiesDemonstrated ability to schedule and execute hardware and software releasesDemonstrated ability to prioritize and assign tactical requests to the team

Leadership

Leads team through obstacles and time constraints to overcome barriers and successfully deliver resultsInfluences the work of others to drive department goals and initiatives to successful completion through effective team and project management, customer interaction and IT coordination.

Production Support

Provides technical experience related to the positionEnsures that support problems and errors are tracked to ensure appropriate future handlingLead incident reporting to include postmortems which involves prioritizing enhancements to reduce ongoing support; scheduling support rotations; ensuring that the ticket queues are appropriately managed; and assisting with critical outages at any time

Design and Review

Active participant in project design meetings providing vision and guidanceLeads technical design for the team's initiatives, consulting with architectureApplies technical knowledge in specialty areas for position

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required8+ years of application development experience. Especially experience with API design and security, microservice architectures, and messaging paradigmsHands-on experience with Microsoft.NET (#C) and .NET Core in cloud platforms (Azure preferred)Solid understanding of DevOps capabilities such as automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and Infrastructure as CodeIn-depth knowledge and experience of relational databases, SQL, and NoSQLProven ability to mentor and develop others with exceptional teamwork and communication skillsExperience working with Agile methodologies

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA CarMax Technology Innovation Center or the Dallas, TX Technology Hub and have a Hybrid work arrangement.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
