Applied Signal Technology: WHO WE ARE

What You Will Do

Apply your software systems engineering development experience to advance our next generation airborne Communications Intelligence (COMINT) and Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) solutions

Contribute to and be an integral part of multi-discipline engineering project teams and be challenged by real-work assignments

Perform technical research, develop technical documentation, presentations, and lead concept demonstrations and contribute to bid and proposal activities

Learn COMINT/ELINT principles and concepts and work side-by-side with industry recognized technical leaders to develop and implement cutting-edge and innovative airborne signals intelligence systems

Travel up to 20% time typically for business and customer meetings/demonstrations, operational field support and system deployments

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Domain experience and engineering technical skills in one or more of the following areas:

EW and/or ELINT system and software development

Pulse Descriptor Word parameters.

Radar signal identification/sorting (Deinterleaving)

ELINT databases (EPL, CED, EWIR, MIDB, etc.)

EW/ELINT PED operations

JICD 4 standards

Qualifications We Prefer

Active U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance or current SSBI

Practical systems and software engineering experience in product development, integration, deployment, and/or sustainment of systems for the U.S. Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community

Experience with laboratory and field testing and troubleshooting of airborne COMINT and/or ELINT systems to the hardware, software and/or firmware unit levels

Experience developing and briefing technical review presentations (PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.), producing contract deliverables (requirement specifications, ICDs, formal test plans/procedures, test reports)

Practical experience with antennas, RF propagation and receivers, RF system calibration operations as these relate to subsystem-level analysis methodologies

Familiarity with using version control and defect tracking tools (Git, JIRA, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
