We are seeking a Principal Software Engineering Manager to help build, coach, and lead a team that will architect and design the services and solutions to manage Entra ID identities, groups, and tenants at scale. This role will draw deeply upon your expertise in Cybersecurity, ability to lead a team of software engineers, both technically as well as a people manager, and experience in building and operating large scale online service. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of security at Microsoft and leveraging your insights to protect Microsoft services and customers, while leading, guiding, and growing a group of skilled security software engineers. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience. + 4+ years people management experience. + Experience in Cybersecurity + Experience designing solutions on Entra ID (Azure AD) and Azure. + People management experience at a big tech company (Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Apple, Google, etc). Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
