Overview
The Principal Solution Engineer is a member of the Solution Consulting team, reporting to the VP, Solution Consulting. The Solution Consulting team is responsible for driving go-to-market and product success by delivering expert presales support. They bring deep expertise in clinical and revenue cycle management, representing CodaMetrix’s full suite of solutions to leading health systems. They ensure that all pre-sales discovery, demonstrations, and solution proposals effectively align with customer needs while fully leveraging CodaMetrix’s standard capabilities and product roadmap.
The Principal Solution Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support in selling complex technology to clinical and revenue cycle leadership at healthcare institutions. They have a strong background in healthcare technology software, a solid understanding of electronic health record data flow, clinical workflows, health informatics, and experience with EHR data collection and integration in one or more specialty areas.
Responsibilities
+ Support Sales calls with existing and prospective customers, with a focus on clinical informatics and data flow discussions
+ Lead the Discovery stage, documenting customer requirements and desired outcomes
+ Develop and review proposals and ROI documents for customers with Sales Directors, Leadership and Account Directors
+ Support RFP (request for proposal) responses by writing and reviewing information as related to product functionality and integration, ability to address prospective customer needs, implementation approach, etc.
+ Participate in exhibiting at and meeting with prospective and active clients at major trade shows and industry events annually
+ Collaborate with Marketing on Product, System, and Thought Leadership topics
+ Conduct competitive analysis to differentiate CMX from competing solutions
+ Serve as a workflow subject matter expert in the clinical space for the Product, Machine Learning, and Engineering teams
+ Support onboarding and training of new Sales Directors, Account Managers, and other client-facing team members through systems, workflow, and account based education
+ Maintain accurate opportunity documentation in Salesforce
+ Promote CodaMetrix's vision and mission, effectively communicating our value proposition
Requirements
+ Required
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ 8+ years of experience in healthcare information technology sales, clinical informatics or strategic healthcare consulting/ advisory services
+ Strong knowledge of Clinical Workflow data and solutions
+ Familiarity with EMR systems, especially Epic
+ Expertise in tools, systems, and user workflows in at least one specialty area (Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Ambulatory E/M, etc.)
+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ Superior communication and negotiation skills
+ Demonstrated problem-solving ability and adaptability
+ Strategic thinking coupled with tactical execution skills
+ Preferred
+ Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Business)
+ Certification, current or prior, in one or more Epic applications
+ Understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies
+ Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and Data Visualization tools, preferably Tableau
+ Relevant industry certifications (e.g., HIMSS, AHIMA)
+ Experience with other EHR systems
+ Healthcare revenue cycle domain knowledge
