Your impact
As part of the Presales organization, you will apply your business and technical expertise to assure the technical win in sales pursuits in our enterprise and global account customer segment in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the IT Operations Cloud Business Group, as the Principal Solution Consultant for the Service, Asset and Configuration Management solution portfolio. 

What the role offers
•    Technical Solutions Consultant role
•    Customer-facing function focusing on the Service, Asset and Configuration Management area of the OpenText™ IT Operations Cloud portfolio:
•    IT Service Management 
•    IT Asset Management, including Software Asset Management
•    Universal Discovery & CMDB
•    Establishes and leads the technical win strategy for current and prospective clients
•    Uses in-depth market, industry and solution knowledge to lead in providing the technical and business value expertise to customers in sales presentations, product demonstrations and business value workshops
•    Works with sales, professional services and partners to ensure that optimum solutions are provided to new and existing customers
•    Takes accountability for thorough and timely response for the technical of the of customer Requests for Proposal, orchestrating internal and external resources when and where needed
•    Provides pre‐sales support and systems configuration recommendations
•    Advances opportunities through the use of effective consultative selling techniques
•    Builds existing customer loyalty through being a trusted advisor

What you need to succeed

Education and experience required
•    Technical University or Bachelor's degree
•    Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
•    Languages: German: C2, English C1

 Kowledge and skills required
•    Uses conceptual thinking to understand advanced issues and implications
•    Recognized expert in Service, Asset and Configuration Management, including Software Asset Management and Disocvery
•    Strong understanding of business value consulting as well as of ROI and TCO concepts and business case development
•    Strong concept and understanding of Enterprise Service Management, AI and generative AI
•    ITIL® 4 and/or IT4IT™ certified
•    Experience with OpenText IT Operations Cloud (formerly: Micro Focus ITOM) solutions a plus
•    Knowledgeable in competitive solutions knowledge is preferred
•    Exposure to/experience in extending Service Management to Content and HR Management systems is desirable
•    Customer oriented
•    Self-motivated and goal oriented
•    Eager to learn and collaborate with the team
