The following position is to join our **RTX Corporate** team: RTX Corporate Office in Farmington, CT is seeking a **Principal Specialist, HR Benefits** . The successful candidate will report to the Director, Benefits and split their responsibilities between the ongoing management of RTX’s $59 billion U.S. and Puerto Rico Retirement Plans, including Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Plans for active, terminated employees and retirees. This role, within the RTX HR Benefits Operations team, works closely with Retirement Strategy, Pension & Investments, Government Accounting, People Services, Payroll, HRIS and Benefits Finance organizations. **What You Will Do** + 50% Defined Contribution Plans; 50% Defined Benefit Plans + Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers. + Coordinate the resolution of issues and escalations either directly with participants or vendors as appropriate. + Utilize standard work and process maps to document key processes. + Identify and implement process improvement opportunities through the use of CORE tools. + Review the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of updates to benefits communications materials. + Support various reporting and analysis and audits. + Support special benefit related projects as assigned. + Researching benefit questions by thoroughly reviewing administrative procedures, plan documents, and other records. **Qualifications You Must Have** + Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience. + Good working knowledge of benefits principles and practices, and government regulations + Effective time management, prioritization skills, and the ability to manage ongoing workload demands of both planned and unplanned projects and requests + Attention to detail and ability to manage projects with minimal guidance + Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing, dynamic environment. + Experience with retirement compliance items, such as ADP/ACP non-discrimination testing, 5500s, ERISA, ACA, Secure Act 2.0, 409A and Annual Funding Notice + Experience in reading and interpreting Plan Documents + Proficient with Microsoft O365 suite **Qualifications We Prefer** + CBP, CEBS, or QKA Certifications **Location** + Hybrid in Farmington, CT; remote work may be considered. **What We Offer** Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
