Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Program Planning & Scheduling Analysts to join us in the pursuit of top-tier program performance on Low Rate Initial Production and Full Rate Production Advanced Weapon Programs. The positions are based out of based out of Northridge, CA and will report to the Business unit Scheduling Manager over Advanced Weapons.   This role is fast paced and demanding. It will require a high level of work ethic and strategic adaptability.  This role will be responsible for the development, organization, and status of program schedule execution. They are also accountable for Program schedule performance reporting, analysis, and compliance.

This role will be responsible for implementing data driven analytics into effective program performance outcomes.  Candidates for this position will demonstrate a broad and deep skill set that is balanced across leadership, collaboration, innovation, communication, project management, risk/opportunity management, business acumen, and proposal-based capabilities. Responsibilities and essential functions include, but are not limited to:

Prepares, develops, and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectivesEnsures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and qualityWork with the finance, planning, and business management teams to develop strategies to improve financial performance based on schedule analysis and metricsSupport the development of presentations for, and occasionally brief to, Division/Sector/Corporate leadershipInterface with business, program, and corporate personnelTracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflictsCalculation and tracking of material related metricsInterface with Supply Chain, Planners, and Buyers to ensure up to date forecasts and maintain accuracyPrepare reports and provide recommendations to program management teamsImplement and maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance including cost/schedule/technical integrationUtilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areasAnalyze schedule for critical path, recognizing implications of changes and assists in the development and incorporation of work-around plans into the schedule when change is requiredWork with the Capture Lead, Proposal Manager, and core teams to develop the compliant proposal and supporting deliverablesProvide support to the proposal team by developing, reviewing, and submitting proposals that effectively represent the proposal strategy and baseline

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

Bachelor's degree with 6 years of Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Data Science, and/or Aerospace and Defense Business-related experience, or a Master's degree with 4 years of stated Aerospace and Defense Business experienceExtensive knowledge of establishing program IMPs, schedules, and baselines at award for execution cost and complianceExtensive knowledge and recent Working experience with Department of Defense ACAT  programs to implement and execute Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)Working knowledge of EVMS Software (i.e. Cobra), Microsoft Project, Power BI, Project Server, Microsoft Office Suite, and Cost Accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)Knowledge of DCMA health metricsPrior experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry manufacturing environmentAbility to obtain Interim or Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Salary Range: $97,500.00 - $146,300.00Salary Range 2: $120,900.00 - $181,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
