Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (MS) located in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal SAP Business Partner to support the manufacturing, production, and material requirements planning functionality in SAP. This person will develop SAP computer systems specifications that address Manufacturing and Logistics Operation requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards in both  ERP1 and ERP2.This person will be responsible for contributing/leading discussions to combine ERP1 and ERP2 into one system, S4/PEO, in 2026.


The SAP Principal/Sr. Principal Business Partner supports the manufacturing operations functions within the SAP/ERP environment. This includes all Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Manufacturing locations/ departments.

The Principal/Sr. Principal Business Partner will contribute to t the MS manufacturing business operation’s customer requirements to the ES ERP IT support team. He or she will be in close communications with the MS customer base to prioritize SAP enhancements, document requirements, communications, and implementations of new SAP functionality. Additionally, this person will engage in cross functionally communication with other SAP Business Partners as required from a team perspective to support successful ERP operations.


The Principal/Sr. Principal Business Partner will help with the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards in ERP.  The Principal/Sr. Principal Business Partner should be able to contribute the discussion on the development of new principles and concepts within the ERP functionality. The Principal/Sr. Principal Business Partner will engage in the development of solutions to ERP problems which will require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. The Principal/Sr. Principal Business Partner will be responsible to ensure the solutions are consistent with manufacturing objectives.


The Principal/Sr. Principal Business Partner will be involved in determining objectives and course of action pertaining to the assignment. The Principal/Sr. Principal Business Partner will be participating  in the discussions for the decisions that are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the manufacturing organization for the corporation.

The Principal/Sr. Principal Business Partner serves as an ERP spokesperson for both of the ERP systems on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.

This position may be filled as a hybrid role at our Annapolis Junction, MD location and candidates are required to be local to the site. If not local to the site, relocation will be on your own. Selection will be based on the most qualified candidate.

This position may be filled at either the principal business partner or senior principal business partner.

Basic Qualifications Principal Business Partner: 

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience in operations, production, manufacturing, quality, industrial engineering, software development or equipment maintenance; OR a Master's degree and 3  years of experience will be considered; OR 9 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Experience with Strong Excel, Power Point, Word.

Basic Qualifications Sr Principal Business Partner: 

Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience in operations, production, manufacturing, quality, industrial engineering, software development or equipment maintenance; OR a Master's degree and 6  years of experience will be considered; OR 12 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Experience with Strong Excel, Power Point, Word.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bachelor's of Science degree or higherExperience with SAP business processes in manufacturing and productionExperience in manufacturing, materials / production planningExperience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemExperience with MS Access, Oracle and /or database architecture and design including SQLExperience in defense, aerospace, or security industriesTechnical experience working in a manufacturing/production environment

MANUMS

Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00Salary Range 2: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
