We are looking for you to join our team as a Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Software Engineer based in Orlando, FL.
What You'll get to Do:
The Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Software Engineer will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and secure software systems based upon documented requirements. This person will be responsible for working individually or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. The team is seeking a talented engineer who resolves software problem reports, utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. The successful candidate shall have experience with creating specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/ Government Off-the Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.This requisition is open as a dual level opportunity. Basic Qualifications:
Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of experience / 3 years with Masters / 0 with PhDLevel 4: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 9 years of experience / 7 years with Masters / 5 Years with PhDAbility to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret ClearanceExperience developing Multi-Level Security (MLS) Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) applicationsExperience with implementing NSA Raise the Bar (RTB) standards and requirementsDemonstrated experience developing software using Java, C, C++, C#, or PythonDemonstrated experience with debugging existing software and correcting defectsDemonstrated experience with the SDLC and agile methodologiesPreferred Qualifications:
Experience using Bash or similar scripting languages to automate tasksExperience configuring and using SonarQube, Fortify, or other code analyzersExperience with automated testing frameworks such as Eggplant and Microsoft Testing FrameworkExperience with Continuous Integration Technologies such as Jenkins and BambooExperience using Visual Studio Code (VS Code)Experience with Software Configuration Management tools such as GitDemonstrated experience developing Linux software applicationsExperience developing SELinux policiesDemonstrated experience working with XML Schemas and XML processing tools.Knowledge of networking protocols and secure communication techniques.Current DoD 8570 Certification IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CISSP, etc.) or ability to obtain one within 6 monthsSalary Range: $92,600.00 - $139,000.00Salary Range 2: $114,900.00 - $172,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
