Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Bellevue, NE is currently seeking Principal Engineer Software/ Sr. Principal Engineer Software. The successful candidates will demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities achieving sustainable quality products. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidates will participate in the entire software development lifecycle with a concentration in software engineering. Experience with Data Architectures and Data Streaming:Implementing tools to support Data Mesh or Data Fabric platformsDesigning domain-oriented data architecturesSupporting data governance and policy with tooling and automationExperience with AI/ML Model Training:Developing systems with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, and Scikit-learn.Training and fine-tuning ML systems with MLOps tools such as ClearMLModifying existing deep learning architectures and coding from architecture diagramsEvaluating system performance using established and novel metrics and methods.Familiarity with explainable AI, adversarial AI, active learning, and third wave approaches to AI.Experience with microservices patterns and creating solutions that run in a containerized environmentDemonstrated use of configuration management (Git, Bitbucket, Mercurial, Ansible Galaxy)Demonstrated use of collaboration tool suites (Atlassian, GitLab)Current DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $148,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
