Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Systems Administrator Lead in support of an emerging opportunity related to Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) and Electromagnetic Battle Management (EMBM) located in Annapolis, Maryland, and Fort Meade, MD.

The ideal candidate will be a cross-functional team player, willing to take on challenges, who collaborates with internal and external teams, and is driven to provide solutions to internal and external customers.

This position is contingent upon program award.

Responsibilities Include:

Maintain and oversee efficient operations of the entire IT infrastructure including servers, desktop and networking equipment on test and production environments.Leverage extensive experience in system administration to gain and propagate a holistic view of the infrastructure, oversee required activities.Ensure necessary IT projects are completed independently or assigned to others as necessary.Represent the team, presenting team suggestions and recommendations on processes and procedures in accordance with organization cost, quality, and productivity goalsDevelop computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standardsDevelop and document technical procedures as requiredDefine and create appropriate monitoring templates and configurations and administer capacity management toolsCoordinate actions with external partners, peer system administrators, network administrators, security teams, software teams and hardwareManagement of the helpdesk and ticket workflow to ensure the Verification and Validation process is timely and efficient

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Administrator Lead:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience; or Master’s degree and 3 years’ experience5+ years’ experience performing routine system maintenance and troubleshooting, managing the installation of SW and HW upgrades, maintain system performance, and recommending enhancements5+ years with AWS cloud infrastructure supporting a government environmentCurrent U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years), with ability to obtain a Top Secret /SCI (w/ Polygraph) security clearanceUS Citizenship

Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Systems Administrator Lead:

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience; or Master’s degree and 6 years’ experience8+ years’ experience performing routine system maintenance and troubleshooting, managing the installation of SW and HW upgrades, maintain system performance, and recommending enhancements8+ years with AWS cloud infrastructure supporting a government environmentCurrent U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years), with ability to obtain a Top Secret /SCI (w/ Polygraph) security clearanceUS Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $143,600.00Salary Range 2: $119,200.00 - $178,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
