One of our most challenging new fields is Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA), which combines the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop radical new energy-efficient computing systems. MDA is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Manufacturing & Process Modeling Systems Engineer with experience developing robust simulation models and collaborating with technical stakeholders to evaluate and improve manufacturing and test capacity to support our innovative emerging supercomputing technologies at MDA.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Improve manufacturing processes and throughput through detailed modeling, research and evaluation of relevant commercially available tools and equipment, risk assessment, new design producibility reviews, and direct communication with technical stakeholders.Develop, vet, and document, robust simulation models to validate and optimize production systems and manufacturing floor logistics in a 3D visualization environment.Interface with talented manufacturing operators, test teams, and technical leads to gather necessary data to build and assess models.Participate in the generation and review of manufacturing modeling artifacts.Collaborate closely with a small, dynamic team to advance model development, guided by an experienced senior modeling systems engineer.This position is contingent on clearance.
This position will serve on-site in Linthicum / Annapolis Junction, MD.

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of relevant experienceExperience in at least one of the major 3D Simulation tools (Plant Simulation, Process Simulate, NX Line Designer, Catia, or similar)Demonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML).Demonstrated experience with the MS Office Suite (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Project, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat.Strong ability to communicate cross-functionally across multiple engineering disciplines and operations.Clearance: Candidate must currently have and be able to maintain an Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance with PolygraphBasic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Manufacturing & Process Modeling Systems Engineer:

Salary Range: $102,400.00 - $160,900.00Salary Range 2: $127,000.00 - $199,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
