This role will be based in Mountain View.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
Do you want to build, scale, and evolve the next generation remote managed disk solution for LinkedIn? It is a core building block of the entire LinkedIn stack and will replace local disks for the vast majority of use cases. As a foundational storage solution, it will seamlessly scale to 100 PBs and serve 10s of millions of QPS at ultra low latencies. We aspire for lights out operations, needing no human touch as the site scales to 10s of thousands of servers and beyond. We are a small team working on realizing a big vision. Responsibilities:
- You will act as a domain expert for Storage Infrastructure at LinkedIn and own architectural decisions
-You will partner with customers and leaders to create roadmaps, drive alignments and deliver products
-You will lead and mentor teams, while actively building and operating large scale systems
-You will define, enforce and continuously raise the bar for craftsmanship at Linkedin, bringing in best practices from the industry
-You will build a culture of innovation, with bias for execution
Basic Qualifications:
-BA/BS Degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
-10+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
-10+ years of experience programming in C/C++, Rust, Go, or similar languages
-Hands on experience developing large-scale distributed systems, database, remote disk, and storage
-5+ years of experience as an architect or technical leadership position
Preferred Qualifications:
-MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
-12+ years experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions with at least 5 years of experience in a technical leadership position
-12+ years experience in an object-oriented programming language such as C/C++, Rust, Go
-Knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies.
-Experience with industry, open-source projects and/or academic research in large-data, parallel and distributed systems
-Experience leading high-impact, cross-organization initiative

The pay range for this role is $218,000 to $357,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
