Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal SW Development Analyst – SW Analysis Tools Developer (RA) (24-408) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.

As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), the applicant will be a vital member of the team of analysts that support the ART. The position's primary focus will be to work with the other analysts to develop the analysis tools and scripts needed to automatically process test data from different sources to help with the efficient analysis of the collected data.  The applicant will be required to enhance existing toolsets and scripts, make recommendations for updates, and introduce new tools and processing techniques to improve the tools available to the analysts. The developed toolsets must be automated and integrated into the development CI/CD pipeline.

Essential Functions:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing software applications and toolsets for processing and analyzing test data results and presenting resulting analyses in meaningful and functional formats.Knowledge and experience with Systems Engineering and Software Development lifecycles.Knowledge and experience in presenting analysis results information to software engineers, product owners, other senior program leaders, and customer representatives.Experience developing and understanding complex algorithms, performing analysis on complex algorithms for performance and functionality, and presenting analysis results to stakeholders.Infrequent travel between the C2BMC Development Sites (Colorado Springs, CO, and Huntsville, AL) and the C2BMC Test Bed (CTB) at Schriever SFB may be required.

Salary range for Huntsville: $102,400 - 153,600

Salary range for Colorado Springs: $97,500 - 146,300

Basic Qualifications:

An active Secret clearance is required to start.5 years' experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; 3 years' experience with a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; or 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.Demonstrated proficiency using:MATLABPythonJava to perform data analysisAbility to develop scripts and programs to assist with analysis in Java.Ability to read and understand Java, C, C++, and/or Fortran.Experience in Agile Environments is desired.Experience with DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, or other project management tools.  Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and capabilities of developed tools to all audiences, including technical subject matter experts and senior leaders.Experience with missile defense battle management and command & control systems desired.Knowledge of basic message formats such as TADIL-J.Knowledge and experience in presenting analysis results information to software engineers, product owners, other senior program leaders, and customer representatives.Experience developing and understanding complex algorithms, performing analysis on complex algorithms for performance and functionality, and presenting analysis results to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) at the start date is highly desired.A Master's degree in STEM discipline is highly desired.Previous experience driving projects to closure through communication, coordination, and execution.

Additional Northrop Grumman Information:

Salary Range: $97,500.00 - $153,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
